The biggest story line for the 2015 Texas Tech Football season is the starting quarterback battle between junior Davis Webb and sophomore Patrick Mahomes.

Texas Tech Offensive Coordinator Eric Morris addressed the quarterback situation with 1340 The Fan's Rob Snyder and Aaron Brody earlier this week and was asked if he was excited as a coach to have two quarterbacks battle for the position.

"Yeah, absolutely. Last year we needed three for a game or two. We have two guys who have been in action and played some good teams and quality minutes in the Big 12," Morris said.

Morris continued: "I thought Pat protected the football. Those last four games his touchdown to interception ratio was incredible for as young as he was. He did a great job extending plays. Davis had some great moments stringing back all the way to a top defense in Arizona State."

Morris also talked about the depth of the offensive line returning and the excitement that brings to the team.
