With the NFL having to trim down their rosters to 53 players, some players are left off those rosters, meaning they will need to try and find a new place to call home. Luckily for former Red Raider Davis Webb, he won't even have to leave the same city.

It was announced not long after Webb was cut by the New York Giants that he would be signing with the New York Jets as a member of the practice squad.

I don't believe that Webb had a fair shake with the New York Giants during his time there. After the benching of Eli Manning last season, it looked like Webb was going to get a chance to show what he could do.

However, Webb didn't play in any regular season games for the Giants last season. The team opted to start veteran Geno Smith rather than the rookie when it benched Manning in November.

This preseason Webb completed 28 of 53 (52.8 percent) for 283 yards and a TD. He could be placed on the active roster if an injury happens to either Sam Darnold or Josh McCown.
