Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball travels to Manhattan, KS for a key three game Big 12 Conference series starting today. The series this weekend was moved up a day for the Easter holiday weekend.

Texas Tech sits at 6-9 in the Big 12 Conference, currently tied for 7th in with Baylor while Kansas State is in 9th place at 5-10. Last time out in Big 12 action Texas Tech lost a hard fought series in Austin to 1st place Texas losing 2 of 3. Kansas State lost 2 of 3 to Nebraska in Lincoln.

Thursday's probable starters on the mound for Tech is David Paiz (3-2, 5.29 ERA) opposite Shane Conlon (1-0, 3.12 ERA).

Texas Tech and Kansas State meet for the 15th consecutive season and with their eighth all-time conference series in Manhattan. Tech leads the all-time series 27-16-1 and also holds an 11-9 advantage in games played in Manhattan. The Red Raiders have won five of the last seven overall matchups while also winning two straight league series against the Wildcats. Tech will look to finish strong in the conference series as Tech’s last win during a series finale in Manhattan was an 8-1 victory in 2003.
