The team as a whole is sitting at 8 over par (288 total score) which is good enough for 22nd place, but they are just three shots out of 12th place.  Texas Tech head coach Greg Sands had this to say about the day, "I'm disappointed that we didn't finish it a little bit better."  He followed that by saying, "But at the same time, the middle of the round was tough for us and we hung in there toward the end on 16, 17 and 18 and made some birdies and that was important to get some momentum going into tomorrow."

Texas Tech tees off at on No. 10 in the afternoon wave with Ball State and Coastal Carolina beginning at 1 p.m.
