Saturday afternoon, Texas Tech Men's Golf secured a spot in the NCAA Championships by finishing in second place at the Lubbock Regional behind the Texas Longhorns.  The top five finishers out of the 13 teams competing at the Rawls Course advanced to the NCAA Championships.

"It never gets old, it's always fun to make Nationals," head coach Greg Sands told TexasTech.com. "There was a lot of pressure this tournament with the tournament being at home and the extra expectations but I thought the guys handled it well. The goal was to advance, there is no trophy for first or second, just advance. So in that regard, I'm happy and looking forward to cleaning up those mistakes we made."

The NCAA Championships will be held May 29-31 at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida.
