The Best Receiver in the Country, Antoine Wesley, Needs Your Vote for The Biletnikoff Award
Texas Tech junior wide receiver Antoine Wesley has been nothing short of dominant at the wide receiver position all year. He is currently second in receiving yards behind Andy Isabella (Massachusetts) even though Isabella has played in one more game than Wesley.
Wesley does however, lead all power 5 schools in receiving yards, and leads the nation in receiving yards per game. He accounted for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Red Raiders loss to Texas at home.
His play this season hasn't gone unnoticed as Wesley was announced as one of the 11 semi-finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given to the best receiver in the country, on Monday morning.
You can help 'Tweezy' in being one of the three finalists by clicking here and voting as many times as you can. Wesley can become the first Red Raider to win the prestigious award since Michael Crabtree did it in back to back years in 07 and 08. Let's make it happen!
He is joined on the semifinalist list by JJ Arcega-Whiteside (Stanford), A.J. Brown (Ole Miss), Marquise Brown (Oklahoma), N'Keal Harry (Arizona State), Andy Isabella (Massachusetts), Jerry Jeudy (Alabama), Rondale Moore (Purdue), David Sills V (West Virginia), John Ursua (Hawaii) and Tylan Wallace (Oklahoma State).
The Biletnikoff Award will trim its list of semifinalists down to three finalists Nov. 19 with the ultimate winner being named Dec. 6 during The Home Depot College Football Awards Show. All three finalists will travel to the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta for the show, which will air live on ESPN.
Wesley and the Red Raiders will look to secure bowl eligibility this Saturday when Texas Tech heads to Manhattan to face Kansas State in a 2:30 p.m. kickoff from Bill Snyder Family Memorial Stadium.
