Alan Bowman May Have Suffered Another Partially-Collapsed Lung at OU Game
Texas Tech's true freshman quarterback could again be out for an extended period of time after suffering an injury during the Oklahoma game.
Texas Tech Athletics Communications Associate Director Matt Dowdy provided the following update on Bowman's injury following the game:
Alan Bowman has been transported to Covenant Medical Center to be evaluated for a reoccurrence of his previous injury (partially collapsed lung) that occurred in the West Virginia game. He will be held overnight for observation.
After Bowman left the game, Jett Duffey took over. However, Duffey couldn't lead the Red Raiders to a win in the shootout. The Sooners held off Texas Tech and eked out a late 51-46 win.
Bowman suffered a partially collapsed lung in September after taking a hard two-sided hit in the Texas Tech-West Virginia game. He returned to the field against Kansas in October, leading the Red Raiders to a win.
Texas Tech's next game against Texas on Nov. 10th is their final home game of the 2018 season, and another chance for the Red Raiders to secure a bowl game.
