Alan Bowman Makes His Return to the Big 12

In 2018, Alan Bowman stormed on the scene as a true freshman for Kliff Kingsbury's Red Raiders and led the team in a loss against Ole Miss to open the season after taking over for an injured McLane Carter. Bowman then put up monster numbers against Lamar and Houston.

Then, he became the first Texas Tech quarterback to win in Stillwater since Kliff Kingsbury was a player.

In the game after the Oklahoma State win, Bowman collapsed a lung against West Virginia. He'd return against Kansas to beat the Jayhawks, lose to Iowa State in a brutal game and then collapse the lung again against Oklahoma in a great first half.

Bowman would enter 2019 as the hope for a return to glory under Matt Wells but struggled early before breaking his collarbone against Arizona and missing Big 12 play. In 2020, he'd win the job again before being in an out of the lineup with injuries and poor play.

After the 2020 season, Bowman would transfer to Michigan where he'd sit for two seasons behind starters who won back to back Big Ten Championships and Playoff appearances. Bowman threw eight passes as a wolverine with a touchdown and an interception.

After being out of the Big 12 for two seasons, Bowman will now return to the conference he got his start in for a final season with a Big 12 Rival of Texas Tech in Oklahoma State.

That's right, Alan "The Showman" Bowman will trade his Guns Up for a Pistols Firing.

Bowman will compete for the starting job in Stillwater with Mike Gundy who has had quite the exodus out of his program including four year starter Spencer Sanders who is currently in the Transfer Portal and is projected to go to Auburn among a few other targets.
