The Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Team Defeat Central Arkansas 79-57 on Sunday

The Texas Tech men's basketball team was back in action on Sunday as the Central Arkansas Bears came to Lubbock.  Tubby Smith and company was looking to keep their home record unblemished on the season as they were 5-0 at the United Spirit Arena thus far.  They would improve that record on Sunday afternoon as Tech proved to be too much for the Bears.

Central Arkansas and Texas Tech would trade leads early but the Red Raiders would pull away to a 39-26 lead at halftime.  The Bears stormed out of the second half on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 39-33 with 17:19 left in the game until Dejan Kravic added eight consecutive points to help Tech to pull away.  They would never look back as they would go on to win the game by a final score of 79-57.

Kravic led the team in scoring as he came off the bench to scored 13 points and added five rebounds.  Jaye Crockett, Jordan Tolbert and Toddrick Gotcher each added 10 points as well for the Red Raiders in the win.

With Sunday's win, Texas Tech improves to 6-0 at home this year which marks the first time they have started that well since the 2011-12 season.  The team has no time to rest though as they have probably their toughest non-conference home game of the year.  They play host to the Tigers of LSU on Wednesday night with tip off for that game is set for 8 pm from the United Spirit Arena and can be seen on ESPNU.
