The Texas Tech women's basketball team pulled off the upset as they took down No. 23 Kansas 70-63 on Saturday.

Chynna Brown led Tech in scoring with 20 points and four assists.  Casey Morris contributed to the scoring with 16 points.  Christine Hyde rounded out the scoring with nine points.  The Lady Raiders shot 41.3 percent from the field and now lead the series with Kansas with a record of 15-5.

On the other side of the court, Chelsea Gardner led the Jayhawks in scoring with 18 points and 13 rebounds.  Monica Engelman contributed to the scoring with 12 points.  Carolyn Davis rounded out the scoring with 11 points.  Kansas shot 41.4 percent from the field.

Texas Tech returns to action tomorrow night when they hit the road to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers.  Tip off is at 6 pm.
