Kliff Kingsbury and the Texas Tech football team will be looking for their first Big 12 win of the year on Saturday when they travel to Manhattan, Kansas to take on the Wildcats of Kansas State.

The Red Raiders will look to rebound from its setback in the Big 12 opener at Oklahoma State by a score of 45-35 last Thursday in Stillwater.

Coach Kingsbury's team brings a 2-2 overall record and an 0-1 mark in Big 12 play to Manhattan this weekend while Kansas State enters the game having steamrolled UTEP 58-28 on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Wildcats are 3-1 overall and are tied for first place in the Big 12 Conference standings with a 1-0 record.

The big question for the Texas Tech football team heading into this game though is who will get the start at quarterback between sophomore Davis Webb and true freshman Patrick Mahomes.

Webb dislocated or separated (no official injury has been reported) his non-throwing shoulder in the fourth quarter of their loss to Oklahoma State and did not return giving Mahomes his first playing time as a Red Raider.

Kickoff for this game has been set for 6 pm from Bill Snyder Family Stadium and the game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.  You can hear our countdown to kickoff show right here on Sports Radio 1340 the FAN starting at 3pm.
