Watch Texas Tech’s Keenan Evans Drain a Buzzer-Beater to Beat Texas
We could watch this all day.
Keenan Evans hit a game-winning buzzer-beater from the top of the circle against Texas Wednesday night in Lubbock, pushing the Red Raiders over the Longhorns, 73-71 in Overtime.
Evans outscored his teammates 38 to 35, but in the end it didn't matter; in the Big 12, a win is a win. Evans' final two points were arguably the most important of the season from the second-leading scorer in the Big 12, behind Oklahoma's Trae Young.
Some are saying that this shot reminded them of Michael Jordan's legendary final shot against Utah in the NBA finals in 1998. This is a mid-season Big 12 game and not for a 6th NBA championship, but there are some definite similarities: The spot on the court; the push-off (allegedly). You can determine on your own if the shots are similar.
Even if it won't be remembered like Jordan's epic shot, it's still a defining moment for the 2018 Red Raiders and a career-defining moment for the senior point guard.
