Hannes Ronneblad shot 9 under par for the first two rounds Clement Sordet was right behind him at 8-under, to give Texas Tech the top two positions atop the leaderboard at the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio.

The Red Raiders lead the 16-team field at Briggs Ranch Golf Club. Tech is 27-under. Southeastern Louisiana is next at 18-under. Host Texas-San Antonio sits in the third slot at 11-under heading into Tuesday's third and final round.

Ronneblad carded rounds of 70 and 65, and Sordet shot a pair of 68s. Tech’s Esteban Estrepo (68-71—139) and Guillermo Pereira (69-70—139) in a seven-way tie for sixth at 5-under.

The Tech women are in second place at of the Briar’s Creek Invitational in Charleston, South Carolina .

Red-shirt Freshman Lauren Mason shot a 2-under 70 in the first round and had given back only one shot through 13 holes of her second round when play was suspended Monday.

Senior Elin Arvidsson shot 75 in the first round and is tied for eighth at 3-over. Sarah Brown, who shot a first-round 79, was 2-under through 12 holes of her second round and tied for 19th at 5-over. Kimmy Hill (78) is tied for 23rd at 6-over, and Gabby Barker (76) is tied for 52nd at 10-over.

The Red Raiders are currently in second place in the 17-team field at 10-over four strokes behind Florida.

Tech is the defending champion at Briar Cliff.
