Texas Tech Red Raider Softball lost its third consecutive game in the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, AZ Saturday morning to the No. 10 Stanford Cardinal 7-1. The Cardinal scored two runs in the first inning, three in the fourth and two in the sixth to put away Texas Tech who could only muster one run on two hits the whole game.

Stanford was led on the mound by Teagan Gerhart who threw six solid innings with five strikeouts and no walks issued while Cara Custer lost her second game of the tournament for the Red Raiders only pitching one inning.

Texas Tech returns to field Saturday night in their tournament finale taking on Cal Poly at 9:30 p.m.
