Sunday afternoon, the Houston Astros took on the New York Mets with Cy Young winner Justin Verlander on the bump. Verlander was scheduled to throw 4 innings in that game, however after 2 innings Verlander left with a right triceps injury.

Here is Verlander talking about his injury and how he feels about being ready for Opening Day:

Verlander has been diagnosed with a mild lat strain and will be shut down for a period of time. This also means that his Opening Day status is up in the air.

The Astros host the Los Angeles Angels for Opening Day on Thursday, March 26th. You can listen to that game as well as the Astros the whole season on Talk 1340.
