The Texas Rangers and Houston Astros have both opened up the young baseball season and for fans of the Rangers and Astros, the beginning of the season is full of hope and yes some disappointment.

It's also the time of year when teams announce the new food options for when you have a chance to make it out to either Globe Life Field for the Texas Rangers or out to Minute Maid Park for the Houston Astros.

The Houston Astros will welcome El Tiempo, a Tex-Mex restaurant with decades of history in Houston. Fans and visitors will get to order classics such as carnitas, tortillas made from scratch on-site. And of course you can't forget about having a classic frozen margarita or two.

Some of the other new food choices include the La Pina Dog at Home & Away. It's an all-beef hot dog grilled and topped with smoked pineapple, candied jalapenos, and a teriyaki glaze. Home Plate Pastrami Food Court will have a pastrami sandwich with brined and smoked brisket, swiss cheese, coleslaw, and homemade dressing according to Houston Eater.

There will also be a couple of new nacho items at Minute Maid Park. Tostitos Walking Nacho's will use Doritos topped with "queso blanco, pico de gallo, and crema, with your choice of red or green chicken, or pork carnitas". Then you have Elote and Pupusa which will off Grande Papas Nachos fries which are topped off with cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and beef carnitas. And that's not all. Check out Houston Eater for the full list.

If you plan on traveling to Arlington to see a Rangers game, get ready for an amazing list of new foods. From Alligator Corn Dogs to Mac and Cheese Nachos to Cornbread Chili Pie Dogs, and much much more are now available.

The Alligator Corn Dog is Alligator Andouille Sausage dipped into corn dog batter which sounds great but also leads me to this question...

Why is there not a Fletcher's Corn Dog Stand or five inside Globe Life Field? That would be amazing!

Back to the new stuff...

Rangers fans will also find a new Chicken Fried Brisket Sandwich which is made with "generous pieces of Nolan Ryan Beef Brisket" loaded onto thick slices of Texas Toast with pickles, red onions, and of course, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.

Looking for new nachos and a new hot dog? According to WFAA, the Rangers have you covered.

One thing is for sure, you won't leave either stadium hungry this season.

The 13 Best Hole in the Wall Restaurants on 50th Street in Lubbock

These buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on. I wasn't as strict on this one as I was on my 34th Street version which you can read if you keep scrolling, but I defend my choices below. If you can get a cash loan in the same strip mall as your pizza, it might be a Hole in the Wall.

The 10 Best 'Hole in the Wall' Restaurants on 34th Street in Lubbock

34th Street is known locally as "where the work gets done," but it's also where the eats go down. (Side note: I also might be the only one that says that because nobody else I know remembers that.) Back to the point, these buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on.
