Tuesday afternoon, the Houston Astros announced that Justin Verlander underwent surgery on his right groin.

The good news is that with the COVID-19 pandemic postponing many sports including the NBA and the MLB for a while, Verlander won't miss any time at all rehabbing his groin. This also will let him rehab his mild lat strain he suffered during spring training.

Monday afternoon, Major League Baseball announced that they would be pushing Opening Day back to mid-May at the earliest. It's hard to tell when we could see these players back on the field for the 2020 season.
