Man With Serious Soul Dazzles at Miami Heat Dancer Audition
The Miami Heat haven't had a marquis attraction since LeBron James hightailed it out of South Beach last year. This guy sure looks up to the job.
This is Keith Wilson, the only dude to show up at tryouts to be a Miami Heat dancer. He was hardly a novelty act, though. Wilson's got some moves and he put them on display in a court full of women hoping to make the team.
Wilson believes being a man ultimately worked against him, telling the New York Daily News, "I think if I was a woman, yeah (he would have made the team). I love dancing, it's my passion. The Miami Heat is one of those organizations where anything is possible. That's what I was looking for."
Considering the San Antonio Spurs have Becky Hammon as a full-time assistant coach, you can't blame Wilson for thinking he had a chance to be a trailblazer in his own right.
The 28-year-old Wilson, who also tried out in 2012, may have failed to make the team, but he still made an impression and claims some of the women who tried out have approached him asking for help with their moves. As the founder of a dance school, he certainly has the chops to do so.
Take a look at Wilson doing his thing below:
