Officers with the Lubbock Police Department Major Crash Investigation Unit will be closing down roads this week to investigate some crashes that happened recently.

According to LPD Public Information Assistant Carson Glenewinkel, each of these closures isn't expected to last more than 2 hours.

On Tuesday, July 16th, the 7800 block of North I-27 will be closed starting at 10 a.m. Northbound traffic will be closed and diverted off of I-27, and the left lane of southbound travel will be closed as well.

Also on Tuesday, starting at 1 p.m., the 500 block of North Detroit Avenue will be closed.

On Thursday, July 18th, starting at 9 a.m. the 3900 block of East Loop 289 as well as 19th Street and Milwaukee Avenue will be closed.

At 1 p.m., the 27th Street and Avenue Q intersection will be closed as well as the 1900 block of 19th Street.

Drivers are urged to use caution in these areas as officers conduct their investigations.
