Following Texas Tech's 49-14 win over West Virginia on Saturday, the Red Raiders picked up two of this week's Big 12 Players of the Week honors.

Seth Doege was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after tying a career-high with 6 touchdown passes and throwing for 504 yards. Doege  became just the fifth quarterback in Tech history to reach the 50 career touchdown plateau. This is the third time in Doege's career he's been recognized as Big 12 Player of the Week.

Safety Cody Davis (pictured, trying to tackle Geno Smith) was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. Davis led the Red Raiders "Chain Gang" defense with 13 tackles and 2 pass breakups. The 13 tackles were also a season-high. During the game, West Virginia was held to 30 percent on its 3rd Down conversions and 22 percent on 4th Down.

Texas Tech starts a two-game road trip this Saturday at TCU. Saturday's game at Amon G. Carter Stadium gets underway at 2:30p and it will be televised on ABC.
