Bovada Gives Texas Tech the 8th Best Odds to Win the Big 12
Our friends over at Bovada.lv have released the odds for the 2018 season and the Big 12 has some interesting numbers from top to bottom. It's no surprise that Oklahoma is the favorite to win the conference. Bovada has the Sooners being 60% certain. That is a pretty heavy favorite, but no surprise as the Sooners head into the 2018 season looking for their 4th straight Big 12 Title.
The first surprise in the odds is West Virginia, who seems to be the media darling, faces the 5th longest odds at 8/1, meaning they have an 11 % chance to win the Big 12.
Texas has the 2nd highest odds, because it's Texas, with 25% chance shot at the title in 2018. Right behind the Longhorns is the Horned Frogs who sit at a 13% chance.
The top tier teams are very obviously, according to Bovada.lv, are Texas and Oklahoma. So get ready for the Red River Rivalry Shootout part deux for the Big 12 Championship game.
If you want to waste a couple of dollars in hopes of cashing in huge, Kansas is your pick with the longest odds, by far, in the Big 12 race sitting at 800/1. That's a 0.12% chance Kansas is the Big 12 champion, which seems high honestly.
Texas Tech's odds aren't much better sitting at a measly 2.4%, only slightly better than Baylor who is hanging on to a positive number by a thread at 1.6%.
