Both Texas Tech Basketball teams are back in action tonight. The Red Raider basketball team will play their opening game in the Big 12 Tournament while the Lady Raiders will play in the Quarterfinals against Oklahoma.

The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team scored a big win last night in the opening round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament. The 6 seeded Lady Raiders beat the 11 seeded Cowgirls of Oklahoma State 75-52 last night in Kansas City. The Lady Raiders now advance to the second round of the tournament to battle the 3 seed of Oklahoma. The Lady Raiders and the Lady Sooners will tip off at 7:30. Tech enters the game at 22-9 on the season and look to have a solid chance of receiving an invite to the NCAA Tournament.

The 11 seeded Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team will play their first game in the Big 12 tournament tonight as they battle the 6 seeded Missouri Tigers at 8:30. The Red Raiders may be playing their final game under head coach Pat Knight tonight. Coach Knight was relieved of his coaching duties, effective end of the season, earlier this week by Texas Tech President Guy Bailey. Should the Red Raiders lose tonight, Tech’s season would be done and Pat would have coached his last game.

Texas Tech and Missouri are meeting for the second time this season as the Tigers claimed an 8 point win earlier this season in Columbia. The Red Raiders are 13-18 on the season while the Tigers are 22-9 on the season.
