Today on Jack Dale's Sportsline, Zack Kennedy, former Williams and Hyatt Show producer and current producer for AM 1560 The Game in Houston, talked with guest host Robert Snyder and Brian Duncan about the latest going on with the Houston Texans.

The Texans have been having a disappointing season this year, going 2-5 after last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Kennedy pointed out that, statistically, the Texans have of one the top-ranked defense in the league according to yard. However, they also have one of the worst red zone defenses in the league as well and just can't keep the other teams from scoring on them.

In addition to a lousy season thus far, the Texans have also had to kick off three of their rookies after they were allegedly using marijuana in a hotel room. Kennedy said that he had no problem with the players being kicked off the team, and that no matter if you're on the field or not, you have to be professional if you want to play in the NFL.

Kennedy also gave his thoughts on head coach Gary Kubiak's comments on Matt Schaub  starting in the Texans' next game. Kennedy called the comments "smoke and mirrors" and predicted it would be third-string quarterback Case Keenum who would be starting. He said that Schaub still may not be healthy enough to come back in, and given the circumstances he had to play in against the Chiefs last week, Keenum did a good job losing by only one point.

The Houston Texans are in their bye week this week. They will return on November 3rd, playing against the Indianapolis Colts. The game will air at 7:30 central time on NBC.
