Fall is upon us and a snack that always comes around this time of year is trail-mix. Brenda Garcia with United Supermarkets joined us today to give a few tips on how to make trail-mix delicious and healthy.

Garcia suggested really mixing things up in your trail-mix by using the 80/20 method. That's where 80% of what you eat is healthy and 20% is where you indulge. Garcia suggested using nuts like cashews which contain zinc and walnuts which contain omega 3 acids. She also suggested dried fruit as an ingredient. For the 20% fun stuff, Garcia suggested M&M's, popcorn, and candy corn.

Trail-mix can be a healthy, fun, and delicious snack that is perfect for this time of year. It just screams Fall!
