This Lady Raider Just Pulled Off Something for the First Time in 22 Years
Brittany Brewer has been playing like a maniac this season and the Lady Raiders 83-38 drubbing of UL Monroe was no different for her. Brewer locked in 12 points, 14 rebounds and 16 blocks for the first Lady Raider triple-double since Rene Hanebutt against Texas on Feb. 5, 1997! That's 22 years.
Brewer, 10 games into the season, is already 8th all-time on the single-season blocks list for the year with 62. Her 16 blocks today tied the NCAA record for blocks in a game.
Freshman Alexis Tucker was the leading scorer for the game with 18 points. She also added 6 rebounds for good measure. Lexi Gordon and Maka Jackson also added double-digit totals with 11 and 16 respectively.
The Lady Raiders will now take the week off for Christmas break before playing their final non-conference game Sunday, December 29th against UTSA.
