The Lady Raiders Lead Kansas From the Tip in Blowout Win [Photos]
The Lady Raiders led coast-to-coast against Kansas Wednesday at the United Supermarkets Arena, earning a big 89-72 victory over the last-place Jayhawks.
After a 22-7 first quarter, the Lady Raiders kept their distance, stretching their lead to 27 in the 3rd quarter before the Jayhawks made a feeble run in the 4th to close the gap.
Five Lady Raider reached double-digits, with Lexi Gordon and Andrayah Adams dropping in 19 points apiece. Gordon also had nine rebounds and six assists in a well-rounded effort. Brittany Brewer added 18 points and four blocks to the totals, and Chrislyn Carr and Alexis Tucker adding 13 and 10, respectively.
The Lady Raiders are now 4-7 in conference play with another winnable game against evenly matched West Virginia on the schedule for Saturday. After playing in Morgantown this weekend the Lady Raiders will have six games remaining with half on the road and half at home in the United Supermarkets Arena.
