On Thursday afternoon Texas Tech basketball announced that they would be playing in a charity game in El Paso against UTEP on October 12th.

Tickets for the charity game are $10 dollars each and the proceeds from the game are going to benefit the #ElPasoStrong campaign that supports the victims following the tragedy in the Sun City on Aug. 3rd.

Texas Tech is coming off a fantastic season where they fell to Virginia in the National Championship game. UTEP finished last season with a 8-21 record but have loaded up with a bunch of transfers from power 5 schools.
