Update (August 15th) - The Lubbock Police Department says they have made a 2nd arrest related to the disappearance of Celestino Rodriquez. 33-year-old Amanda Blagburn was arrested late Wednesday, August 14th, the same day 39-year-old Toby Daughtry was arrested.

Both Blagburn and Daughtry are being charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and the search for Rodriguez continues. Authorities are also still searching for two men who they say are also connected to the case. Felony arrest warrants have been issued for Brett Garza and David Hampton.

Both men are accused of using Rodriguez's debit card the day of his disappearance. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 806-741-1000.


Original Story (August 14th) - One person has been arrested and another had an arrest warrant issued in relation to the disappearance of 79-year-old Celestino Rodriguez of Slaton.

39-year-old Toby Daughtry was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of 8th Street in Lubbock. 33-year-old Amanda Blagburn had a warrant issued for the same offense and has yet to be located.

According to an LPD Press Release, on Thursday, August 8th, a Milam County Deputy spotted a man walking along a highway and stopped to see if he needed assistance. That man was Daughtry, who made statements about driving Celestino Rodriguez's vehicle.

It was later revealed that Daughtry obtained the vehicle in Lubbock sometime after Rodriguez's disappearance on August 3rd. He said that he and Blagburn drove the vehicle near Milano, TX and abandoned it after learning the vehicle was associated with the Silver Alert that was in effect at the time for Rodriguez.
