The Texas Tech offensive line has had struggles this season, and they'll have more problems moving forward having to play without their best player, right guard Jack Anderson.

Head Coach Matt Wells confirmed the loss of Jack Anderson in his press conference after the Oklahoma State game, saying: "Jack Anderson will be out for the year. He's going to have surgery." Wells then confirmed the injury was to Anderson's "upper body."

Anderson did not play against Oklahoma State; he was injured at the Oklahoma game. In his place, Terrance Steele and Weston Wright both took some snaps.

Moving forward, the Red Raiders will just use the 'next man up' mentality and try to get the offensive line some consistency with a different starting lineup in most of the games this season.

Texas Tech will also be without Riko Jeffers next week during the first half after he was ejected in the final minutes of the game for targeting on a block after an interception.

Adrian Frye also missed the Oklahoma State game, and Des Smith and Thomas Leggett both left the game with injuries.

On a team that didn't start the year with impressive depth anywhere, every injury matters and is worth keeping an eye on.
