25-year-old Evan Charles Flacy of Lubbock now faces charges of aggravated assault after he was involved in a deadly crash in December of 2019.

It happened in the 3000 block of North I-27. It's said that Flacy was driving a Porsche at speeds police determined to be around 119 miles an hour. Flacy, however, told police that he was only driving at around 80 miles an hour.

A witness at the scene said that he swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle, began to lose control, then collided with a Buick. Both vehicles left the roadway and stopped in a ditch. Zatryx Skyler Boggus, the passenger in the Buick, was located inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Flacy was originally charged with criminally negligent homicide for Boggus' death, but on Tuesday, June 22nd, he was indicted for aggravated assault as well.

This new charge is in relation to the injuries sustained by Carolyne Travis. It wasn't specifically listed by KAMC News whether or not Travis was the driver of the Buick. The extent of Travis' injuries also wasn't specified in news reports.

The day that Flacy received the aggravated assault charge, he wasn't listed in jail rosters. It's reported that he previously posted bond to get out of jail.
