A Lubbock man was arrested for domestic assault and aggravated assault after it's said that he held a gun up to his own head during an argument with his spouse.

KAMC News reports that 35-year-old Demodrick Pinkard came home drunk in the early morning of Tuesday, June 7th. This was in the 2400 block of Santa Fe Drive. It's said that an argument broke out between him and his spouse that quickly turned physical.

The victim later told police that Pinkard held a gun to his own head and cocked it, but they were able to wrestle the gun away. The victim then tried to run off and got into their vehicle, but Pinkard caught up and got on top of it, punching the windshield.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Pinkard trying to open the driver's side door of the vehicle with blood running down his hand and on his shirt. Officers said the windshield was heavily damaged.

Pinkard was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling $12,000.
