The Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in regards to a robbery on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 that left someone with injuries.

A press release from the police department says a man walked into a store in the 1800 block of Clovis Road at around 1:30 p.m. The suspect walked up to the counter and asked an employee if he could try on a ring.

The employee handed the suspect the ring, which he put on his finger before running towards the exit. The employee quickly ran after the suspect, but they got into a vehicle that was being driven by another unknown suspect. The employee approached the vehicle in an attempt to retrieve the stolen ring, but the driver drove towards the employee and struck him. The employee suffered minor injuries.

The only descriptions of the suspects provided by LPD were that the one who took the ring was a black male and the driver of the vehicle was a Hispanic female.
