Welcome to the first ever episode of The Kingsbury Comedy Hour: Kliff Trolls Don Williams and Charlie Strong.

Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal learned a valuable lesson Monday. That lesson was not to test Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury when he's in a roasting mood.

When discussing Nigel Bethel and his mysterious absence from spring drills (at the 1:45 mark), Kingsbury gives a line about, "focusing on academics this semester." Williams countered with: "Was he there before spring break?" That's when Kingsbury swooped in for the kill: "Were you not out there, Don? Guess you're slipping, man. You have to rewind the film."

Kingsbury then moved on to Charlie Strong, who apparently said (via Burnt Orange Nation): "They might as well move out of the way, because we are going to steamroll everyone. That's going to happen."

"He said that," asked Kingsbury, who went on to question if it was an April Fools joke. (Watch at the 4:30 mark on the video above.)

I may be reading too far into the good mood, but maybe this means Coach has a good feeling about 2016 after being so tense in 2014 and 2015. Maybe Kliff can find a healthy balance between being a hard ass and smart ass. It's always good to have balance. All the greats have it.
