Kliff Kingsbury Sets Assignments for Texas Tech Football Assistant Coaches

Wednesday, in the midst of National Signing Day news, Texas Tech Football head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced the 2015 assignments for his assistant coaching staff.

As previously announced, the newly hired David Gibbs will serve as Defensive Coordinator / Safeties and Zac Spavital will coach linebackers. Both coaches were with the University of Houston last season.

The rest of the assistant coaching staff is returning from last season.

Mike Jinks - Associate Head Coach / Running Backs
David Gibbs - Defensive Coordinator / Safeties
Mike Smith - Co-Defensive Coordinator / Defensive Line
Eric Morris - Offensive Coordinator / Inside Wide Receivers
Lee Hays - Offensive Line
Darrin Chiaverini - Special Teams / Outside Wide Receivers
Zac Spavital - Linebackers
Trey Haverty - Outside Linebackers
Kevin Curtis - Defensive Backs

Texas Tech starts their 2015 season at home against Sam Houston State on September 5 at Jones AT&T Stadium.
