It was back-to-back quarterbacks on this week's "Sit and Listen Thursday" on Jack Dale's Sportsline, as Steve Dale and Coach Rodney Allison chatted with Texas Tech quarterbacks spanning the 1950s to the 1990s.

First up, we headed all the way back to the early 50s as we spoke with Junior Arterburn, the quarterback for the 1950 and 1951 teams. Junior shared some of his recollections about his teammates, playing for the Border Conference, and winning Tech's first bowl game: the 1951 Sun Bowl. Next up, Joe Barnes, who played quarterback for Texas Tech from 1970 to 1973, stopped by and joined us in studio. Barnes spoke about his memories of Coach Jim Carlen and the '73 team, and his thoughts on Texas Tech football then and now. We finished the hour with Ron Reeves, quarterback from 1978 to 1981, who talked about why he decided to play football at Tech and some of his fondest memories during that time.

After wrapping things up with Reeves in the second hour, we caught up with Jimmy Carmichael, quarterback from 1970 to 1973. He talked about his journey from Brownwood, Texas to Texas Tech, as well as his memories of Coach Jim Carlen and his time playing for Tech. Next up, we got in touch with Jim Hart, who played quarterback for Tech from 1979 to 1980, and from 1982 to 1983. Hart talked about some of his most memorable moments during his time as Tech, including the almost-upset game against Washington.  Finally, we wrapped it all up with an interview from Sonny Cumbie, who played for Tech from 2002 to 2004. Cumbie shared some of his favorite memories form his time at Tech, including the biggest bowl game victory at Tech: the Holiday Bowl against Cal.
