Danny Koch Speaking About the Reforming of Committee For Champions [AUDIO]
Danny Koch joined Steve Dale in studio Monday on Sportsline to talk about the return of the Committee For Champions at Texas Tech.
Committee For Champions started in 1994 to boost Lubbock’s economic development by increasing the football teams fan base, but this time around the approach is a little different as the big push now is season ticket sales.
Koch talked about how the idea to restart the Committee For Champions began with an impromptu meeting with Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt.
For the 2012 football season, the group aims to boost season ticket sales by more than 6,000 tickets. The goal is to sell 36,000, Koch said. That number would mark the best number for sale of season tickets in Texas Tech history.
The Lubbock-Avalanche Journal outlines the return of the Committee For Champions in great detail here.
