This week, 1340 The Fan continues highlighting recruits that will join the Red Raiders in the class of 2016. The class is made up of 26 players, is ranked 41st nationally and 5th best in the Big 12, according to Texas Tech 24/7 Sports.

Next up on the list of commits you need to know about is the quarterback of the future, Jett Duffey.

The former Mansfield Lake Ridge standout is already on campus in Lubbock and will provide plenty to watch during spring practice.

In the video below, you can get a feel for Jett Duffey by hearing it from the player himself: "People may overlook me because I'm smaller, or I'm not the perfect size quarterback, but nobody can stop me."

You can see some highlights from Duffey's Junior season in the video above.

Below is Duffey during his senior year in the 5A State Quarterfinals:

He was invited to the ELITE 11 camp

After getting MVPs in two quarterback competitions this summer, Duffey was invited to the Elite 11 camp, which is the premier camp for high school quarterbacks.

He was one of 18 invited, and though he wasn't on the top of the rankings, Duffey enjoyed the experience.

"It’s the top of the top, the elite of the elite," Duffey said. “It’s where every high school quarterback wants to be. I’m just blessed enough to be here."

The video here of Duffey not in pads is from the Elite 11 camp.
