The Houston Astros have reached an agreement with third baseman Alex Bregman on a six-year, $100 million contract extension.

Bregman is coming off an All-Star season in which he finished fifth in MVP voting after hitting .286/.394/.532 with 31 home runs, a major-league high 51 doubles, four triples, and 10 stolen bases last season.

Bregman is also a very dangerous wiffle ball hitter as well, and I like to think this clip helped the negotiations get finalized.

Alex Bregman and the Houston Astros open the season on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday, March 28th, starting at 3:00 p.m. which you can hear right here on Talk 1340.
