Bregman, Brantley, And Springer Earn All-Star Game Starting Nods
On Thursday afternoon, the MLB announced the starting players for the 90th MLB All-Star Game after the conclusion of the voting session. On the American League side, three Houston Astros were named starters for the July 9th game, which led the MLB.
Astros third baseman Alex Bregman will be participating in his second All-Star game and will be looking to make it back-to-back years in which he takes home the MVP of the All-Star game. Bregman beat out Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela and Twins third baseman Hunter Dozier.
Astros outfielder Michael Brantley will be appearing in his 3rd straight All-Star Game. He beat out Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge by only .9% of the vote to become a starter. Brantley will be joined by his teammate George Springer who also was selected to his 3rd straight All-Star game.
