Former Red Raider pitcher Zach Stewart joined the Williams & Hyatt Show

Friday to discuss making his major league debut Thursday afternoon for the Toronto Blue Jays. Stewart looked impressive during his first big league start as the right-hander allowed just two runs on seven hits over seven innings of work. He struck out four and walked one before being replaced by Jason Frasor.

Stewart talked with Hyatt about where he was when he got the call-up to the big leagues. He touched on the emotions of making the trip into the ball park, and how long it took him to settle down and get into a groove. Stewart also talked about being traded from the Cincinnati Reds and whether it was planned for him to become a starter or continue to work out of the bullpen.
