Mac McClung was a high school phenom that rose to fame on Instagram before even got to college. McClung made a pit stop at Georgetown before coming to Texas Tech for a single season. The Mac Attack took Texas Tech by storm notching 15.5 points per game, good enough for Big 12 player of the year.

The Red Raiders went 9-8 in conference play and got into the NCAA Tournament as a 6 seed beating Utah State in the first round and losing to Arkansas in the round of 32.

Since the Red Raiders Era of Mac McClung, he's been floating around the NBA and NBA G League. McClung has two career games in the NBA, one with the Chicago Bulls and one with the Los Angeles Lakers. In the G League, he's played with teams affiliated with the Warriors, Lakers, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Even though he's currently in the G League, he's still making a difference in the NBA as the first G League player to ever participate in the NBA Dunk contest as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend.

McClung will also likely be in the Rising Stars game, if he's eligible for the dunk contest, he might as well join the young guns for some basketball.

He's pretty damn good. In the game after the announcement he'd be in the dunk contest, McClung dropped a 40-piece with eight assists and seven three-pointers on just nine attempts.

He can also still yam it at will. Hence the dunk contest.

Can't wait.
