Fan Behavior Hits New Low at a Texas Tech Football Game: Condom Thrown From the Stands
Saturday afternoon during Texas Tech's win over Lamar, one of our 1340 The Fan photographers was hit by something thrown from the stands at Jones AT&T Stadium. Normally, that would be tortillas, or at last year's Oklahoma State game, some bottles of water. But on Saturday, something that I wouldn't think I would ever see at a Texas Tech game was thrown at my co-worker: a condom.
(You can see video of the condom at the top of this post.)
Texas Tech Athletics has urged students and fans over the past few years to behave better during football games. 'Strive for Honor' has become the slogan used by the Texas Tech Athletic Department when urging better fan behavior.
However, in one portion of the stands on Saturday, there was no honor. Just loutish behavior from a Red Raider fan.
1340 The Fan is excited to partner with Guns Up Nation this season. Check them out on Facebook here.
