Thursday afternoon, just a couple days after his special team's counterpart, Dominic Panazzolo, was put on the Ray Guy Award Watch List, Clayton Hatfield joined the fray. Hatfield was named a Lou Groza Award semi-finalist. The award is given to the best kicker in the country.

Hatfield is a perfect 44-for-44 on extra points so far this season and 10-for-11 on field goals, with his longest kick being a 48-yard field goal in Texas Tech's win against Kansas.

Hatfield has even taken to Twitter to try and get a little bit of fan support in the voting.

Hatfield and the Red Raiders are in action next this Saturday night, Nov. 3rd, at 7 p.m. against no. 7 Oklahoma at Jones AT&T Stadium.
