Texas Tech is coming off of a 20-10 victory over the previously ranked TCU Horned Frogs last Thursday.  It took a late touchdown throw by freshman Davis Webb to Bradley Marquez (Pictured on the Right) to seal that game along with solid defensive play throughout.  Freshman Baker Mayfield threw his first, second, and third interceptions of the year in the win.  He went down late in the fourth quarter with what the trainers called a deep thigh bruise, which forced backup quarterback Davis Webb into the contest.  Mayfield is set to start on Saturday against the Bobcats despite said injury.

Texas State is coming off 28-3 win over Prairie View A&M in their home opener.  They also won their season opener against Southern Miss with a final score of 22-15.  Now in last year's contest, the Red Raiders got out to a big lead early and never looked back.  They would build a 38-10 halftime lead and would end up blowing out the Bobcats in San Marcos with a final of 58-10.

Kliff Kingsbury and company will look to do much of the same this year as they are searching for their fourth win on the year.  This game is a "white out" theme for the fans with kickoff set for 6 pm from Jones AT&T Stadium and can be seen on FOX Sports Net.
