Landon Wright from Wreck 'Em 247 talked about how Texas Tech recruiting is shaping up on the Thursday edition of Jack Dale's Sportsline.

One of the most promising commits for Texas Tech is quarterback Jarrett Stidham from Stephenville, Texas. Wright said that Stidham is one of the most scouted quarterback in the country, boasting 800 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in his sophomore year alone, and is one of the biggest commitments Texas Tech has scored in years. He added that Stidham have excellent arm strength and play creation skills, and is overall extremely polished for a high school student.

Another promising candidate is Ryan Newsom from Aledo, Texas. Wright pointed out that Newsom has not yet made a commitment to Texas Tech, but is good friends with Stidham and will be visiting the campus along with Stidham this weekend. On the defensive end, Wright said Tech recruiters are keeping an eye on J.V. Fehoko, the younger brother of Tech defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko. Wright also talked about recent Tech basketball commits Devonte Williams and Justin Jameson.
