What House $500,000 Gets You: Lubbock vs. Miami

Another major factor that needs to be considered is what kind of home you can get within your budget. If you decide to move to a hustling city like Miami, then you're going to find much smaller homes compared to those in Lubbock for the same price.

I decided to look deeper into it and found two homes that perfectly show the difference between a more rural area compared to a big city on Zillow.com. If you have a budget of $500,000 in Lubbock, you can get a big piece of property with a large house that's located just outside the city. When looking at your options in Miami, you can get a much smaller home, but it's located in the heart of the city. Both are great options, it just depends on what you are looking for.
