Tubby Smith and the Texas Tech basketball team was looking to avoid their third three game losing streak as the made the trip to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys.  OSU came in with a little extra energy though, as Saturday's contest marked the first game back for guard Marcus Smart who was suspended for shoving a Texas Tech fan in the teams previous match up in Lubbock back on February 8th.

This game would be much different than that game though as Oklahoma State used a loud crowd to rout the Red Raiders.  Marcus Smart would have a nice game in his return to the floor as he had 16 points, 10 assists, and 6 steals in Saturday's 84-62 win.  Jordan Tolbert led the Red Raiders as he had 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

The loss drops Tubby Smith and company to 13-14 on the year and 5-9 in Big 12 play.  The loss over the weekend also notches their third three game losing skid of the season.  Tech will try and bounce back on Tuesday when they host the Kansas State Wildcats.  Tip off for that game is set for 6pm from the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock and can be seen on ESPN 2.
