Tim Tadlock and the Red Raiders baseball team is set up for serious success this season, and the polls understand the talent on the roster.

D1baseball.com has the Red Raiders at 3rd in their preseason poll. Perfect Game and Baseball America also have the team at 3rd in their rankings, while Collegiate Baseball Newspaper tabbed the team as the 4th ranked team.

That's good enough for a consensus ranking with an opportunity to get some serious RPI points early in the season with three straight top ten matchups to start the season in Arlington.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Texas Tech has been ranked 3rd in at least one preseason poll, which matches the highest starting position in program history. Joining the Red Raiders as ranked teams are Texas, TCU, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Both TCU and Texas have had top 10 rankings in several polls.

Not only is the team getting recognition, individual Red Raiders are as well. Micah Dallas, Dylan Neuse and Cal Conley have all been named All-America status by multiple publications.

Head Coach Tim Tadlock enters his ninth year as head coach at Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are one of only three teams in the last seven seasons to reach the final stop in Omaha four times along with Florida and TCU. The Red Raiders have claimed three of the last four Big 12 titles and advanced to three of the last four College World Series.
