The Oakland Athletics Beat the Texas Rangers, Spoil Jurickson Profar’s Season Debut
The Texas Ranger's top prospect, SS/2B Jurickson Profar, made his 2013 debut Monday night due to Ian Kinsler going on the 15-day disabled list. Josh Lindblom was on the mound for the Rangers making his season debut as well.
Lindblom's night did not go as planned though. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings while giving up four runs on seven hits. Bartolo Calon was opposite him for Oakland. He had that big body working for him last night. Calon went seven innings and only gave up two runs on six hits. (Calon in the picture on the right)
The Ranger offense did little to help the pitching staff. They were only able to come up with two runs on just six hits. Profar was the lone bright spot of the game in that he drove in the only two runs. Problem was he went 0-2 in doing so.
Texas looks to get back on track Tuesday night with ace Yu Darvish on the hill. First pitch for that game is set for 7:05 pm from the Ballpark in Arlington and can be seen on Fox Sports SW.
