The Houston Astros Take On Former National League Central Foe, the St. Louis Cardinals
The Houston Astros will face off against their former National League Central opponent the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night as they start a two game series. Houston is looking to bounce back after losing two of three to the Chicago Cubs over the weekend.
Starter Erik Bedard will be on the mound for the Astros as he is 2-3 on the year with a 4.43 ERA. He will be opposite Jake Westbrook who is the scheduled starter for the Cardinals on Tuesday night. Houston's offense will look to help Bedard out and improve their ranking as they are 24th in team batting average with a .241 average as a team.
The Cardinals are 47-29 and lead their division, while the Astros have struggled in the American League West as they are currently in last place. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm from Minute Maid Park in Houston.
